Atul Khanna bags award in Finland (excerpt from TOI-Pune Edition; June 07,'09)
Atul Khanna, founder and chairman of the Board of Systems Biology Worldwide, has been awarded the recognition of Knight, First Class, of the Order of the Lion of Finland. The title has been awarded by the President of the Republic of Finland Tarja Halonen for Khanna’s efforts in promoting collaboration between Finland and India in the areas of science and business. The award ceremony was held at the University of Helsinki and the honour was given by the Chancellor Ilkka Niiniluoto. The Order of the Lion of Finland was founded in 1942.
