An Alumni meeting jointly organized by the Mayo endowment Fund, MOBS, OGS and MAASI was held at The Oberoi, Bengaluru on the 30th Oct, 2021 The objective was to brief them on the Mayo renewal project
The meeting was very well attended in spite of unforeseen circumstances of the demise of a popular cine star. We had representation from the batches of 1960 to 2018. Ajay Rawla from Kolkata also attended. In the spirit or openness and transparency, the gathering was addressed by Gen Kulkarni, Sarvesh Naidu, Charu Sharma, Col Bhawani, Manish Sabharwal and Vivek Bali. This was followed by questions.
The common theme of questions was transparency and credibility. The meeting was informed that the General Council had approved the new auditors Grant Thornton and the JD for the Financial controller had been advertised. There was no ask from the alumni other than their advice and inputs and many expressed a willingness to help the school in a various ways to make it future ready.
Two similar meetings scheduled for Delhi on the 20th Nov and Mumbai for the 4th dec have been cancelled anticipating alumni questions about concrete forward movement on change. The alumni will always be there for the school with a solid framework for change and funds”. #GoMayo
