Greetings from the Old Boys Society!
1. The Class of 1966-67 instituted an award in the memory of the late Mr JTM Gibson, OBE, Padma Shri to commemorate his birth centenary in 2007. Details are as follows:-
(a) A corpus has been deposited with Director, Mayo College.
(b) The award is known as “JTM Gibson Award for Excellence”.
(c) It is awarded to a maximum of two Alumni of Mayo College each year who have excelled in their profession and have made a distinct mark for themselves.
2. The award winners will be selected through the following process:-
(a) Nominations from Old Boys (with brief write-up highlighting the merits of the nominees) by 08 Sep 2022.
(b) Director Mayo College will send the list of nominees to the President, Old Boys Society by 15 Sep 2022.
(c) Names of selected nominees will be processed through President OBS to the Mayo College Committee, which will do the final selection and recommend the names to Chairman BoG for approval.
3. Nominations for “JTM Gibson Award for the year 2022” may please be sent to the President Old Boys on e-mail address – president@mayoobs.com and CC to Secretary-General on gsobs@gmail.com latest by 08 Sep 2022 in the given format only.
